Shift Health proudly served as the Lead Sponsor of the Life Sciences Ontario (LSO) 2015 Annual Policy Forum on December 8, 2015, in Toronto.

This year’s Annual Policy Forum focused on the need to develop a comprehensive growth strategy for Ontario’s life sciences sector. It featured an impressive lineup of panelists from government, academia, industry, and the not-for-profit sector, which led a discussion on how the strategic convergence of interests, ideas and resources can accelerate Ontario’s innovation ecosystem, create jobs, and improve human health and wellbeing.

Shift Health President Ryan Wiley, PhD, facilitated a panel discussion on global best practices in growing a thriving life sciences community.

According to Dr. Wiley:

“We’ve heard a great deal over the course of the day about the inherent advantages and strong fundamentals that Ontario’s life sciences sector enjoys: outstanding science; a creative, highly trained workforce; world class infrastructure; strong institutions, and diverse cosmopolitan and peaceful cities.

“Our challenge now in creating a growth strategy for Ontario is to pull together as a community and aim in common directions in order to fulfill the potential of this enviable position.”
