Jonsson joined Shift Health in 2018 and during his tenure has supported projects across a diverse range of engagements including the development of health policy strategy and value narratives, evaluation of investment opportunities, and strategic planning for government agencies and not-for-profits. Jonsson’s clients have included Aduro Biotech, Roche, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance/Canadian Partnership Against Cancer.

Prior to Shift Health, Jonsson completed a Master of Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization (MBDC) at McMaster University where he worked on building a big data bioinformatic database and software to detect disease-causing abilities in infectious bacteria. During Jonsson’s tenure at McMaster University, he authored a graduate scholarly paper on the impact of artificial intelligence on the pharmaceutical value chain.
