Before joining Shift Health, Miranda led a portfolio of projects in competitive intelligence, market access and market research within the pharmaceutical industry. Her work covered various therapeutic areas including oncology, infectious diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases, providing clients with deep insights into these evolving markets. With extensive experience in competitor benchmarking, pipeline tracking, clinical trial analysis and media monitoring, Miranda delivered actionable intelligence to support R&D, regulatory and commercial decision-making, helping clients strengthen their competitive positioning.
Miranda earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where she developed biomaterials to enhance skeletal muscle and diabetic wound healing. She authored 4 peer-reviewed publications and a review article as well as presented her work at several national and international conferences. During her academic tenure, Miranda was the recipient of several scholarships including the Fredrick Banting & Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR).
