Deepak brings a background in translational oncology, commercialization, and life sciences strategy. Before joining Shift Health, he worked across academic and industry settings in India, Hong Kong and Canada, partnering with clinicians, researchers, and biotech teams to support diagnostic and therapeutic programs from early discovery through to application. His experience includes commercialization support, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional project coordination in global research environments. More recently, he gained introductory exposure to consulting and market access through the Life Sciences Career Development Syndicate and the Graduate Management Consulting Association, contributing to early-stage case work focused on reimbursement considerations and business strategy fundamentals.
Deepak holds a PhD in Translational Oncology from the University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Molecular Medicine and Cancer Research from Brunel University London, and a BSc (Hons.) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Lancashire. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education to further build leadership and strategy capabilities. He has authored 15 peer-reviewed publications, holds a patent in cancer diagnostics, and has contributed to multiple conference publications, including at ASH and ASCO. Across his academic career, Deepak has successfully secured multiple competitive grants, supporting translational research programs and collaborative projects.
