Job Details

Shift Health is seeking an Engagement Leader to join our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. The targeted hire date is June 1, 2022.

 

Responsibilities

As an Engagement Leader, you will be responsible for guiding teams in the development of project outputs on a wide range of client projects. As a member of the consulting team, you will also inform key decisions on resourcing, team development and performance. Shift Health’s Engagement Leaders are expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day execution of project work for clients by providing guidance and direction to Senior Consultants, Consultants and interns in research, analysis and deliverable development
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and facilitation of all assigned projects
  • Support the growth and development of consulting teams and individuals
  • Contribute to business development efforts (proposals and pitches) by articulating Shift Health’s value proposition and designing innovative and impactful solutions tailored to client needs
  • Make a meaningful contribution to internal projects, including thought leadership and operational initiatives

 

Required Qualifications and Experiences

  • You must have completed a research-based graduate degree in life sciences (either a PhD or Masters)
  • An MBA may be an advantage
  • At least five (5) years in health and life sciences consulting
  • At least two (2) years project management experience in a consulting setting

 

Minimum qualifications and competencies

  • Deep knowledge and expertise of the trends, topics and stakeholders in the life sciences and healthcare space, built through a strong history of academic and work experience
  • Experience leading and/or contributing to strategy consulting work for clients in the life sciences and healthcare arenas. This may include corporate strategy, research strategy, policy strategy, product strategy, opportunity assessment, partnership strategy, program evaluation and/or proposals and pitches
  • Outstanding team leadership skills demonstrated in virtual and in-person settings
  • Track record of professional growth, personal development and substantial achievement
  • Excellent client/stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities
  • Strong project management skills, including people, budget, resource and scope management
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and people in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • High degree of poise and professionalism and an ability to apply constructive feedback to deliver excellent work
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

Travel

Shift Health’s client base is geographically expansive; up to 10% of an Engagement Leader’s time may be dedicated to domestic and international travel.
